Pentagon Conspiracy Theories

So the government released a tape of still frame security camera footage of an undetermined object hitting the Pentagon.

I have watched the video. I have stopped it at the single frame in which the object appears. To myself and many others, it still looks more like a cruise missile or at the very least, the nose of a much smaller plane, than a 757 jumbo jet.

Couldn't possibly have been hit by something like this Globalhawk Drone Aircraft...

There are a total of 85 videos that the government confiscated from various locations around the Pentagon that day, yet none of that video has been released.

Only five frames released in five years.

And those five frames came from a secondary camera showing basically the exact same angle as video we'd already seen from the same location.

Yet the pundits are all a-flutter about whether this will "finally" quiet down the crazy "conspiracy theories".

Newsflash, you dorks: ALL theories about 9/11 -- including the narrative told by the Pentagon and the White House -- are conspiracy theories.

All the word "conspiracy" means is, "two or more people planning something in secret".

So if average Americans who doubt the commonly accepted "wisdom" on the matter are wearing tin foil hats, SO IS GEORGE BUSH!

Therefore may I suggest our "elite" media to dial down the mocking tone? You're only humiliating yourself. Of course, these are the same people who think spastic reports about "KILLER ALLIGATORS!" have any sort of relevance to the American people at large. HELLO, are not ALL alligators by definition, "killer"? Oh but I forgot, they are "stalking" pretty white girls! Quick! Somebody get Rita Cosby to investigate!

But I digress.

It is frequently contended that such a large scale event could not have been plotted and kept secret, because the government just can't keep secrets. Really? Two words: Manhattan Project. There were 5,000 people involved in that, and nobody knew a damn thing about it, until it tragically went "BOOM!" in Hiroshima.

While I most certainly agree that rampant, pervasive, stunning STUPIDITY and utter INCOMPETENCE are far more likely than a spooky conspiracy to let 9/11 happen, in no way does that remove the possibility that something far less seemly occurred, nor does it detract from the obvious fact that some people are getting very rich off this tragedy - which certainly smacks of motive.

The fact is, the new Pentagon video proves nothing, adds nothing, and the mainstream media has no credibility on this issue. Perhaps video from a different, previously unseen angle - like from the rooftop camera on the hotel across the street - might have added something to the discussion. But this bit does nothing.

Patriotic Americans who are simply seeking complete answers to one of the most disturbing events in our nation's history, deserve more respect than their questions are being given. Characterizing their honest concerns as merely "looney" is disrespectful in the extreme. The entire nation endured this trauma, and only full, documented revelation of the events, and full accountability for those responsible, will provide closure to the emotional scar we've all experienced.

No matter what you think happened, first and foremost the process of QUESTIONING should be respected, as should the individuals who seek the truth.
